Mangaluru: Trees catch sudden fire at Punaroor, fire brigade comes to rescue

Mangaluru, Jan 6: Some trees at Punaroor besides the Mulky- Kinnigoli road caught fire suddenly which created panic situation among the people of the area on the evening of Thursday January 5.

The fire brigade personnel arrived within no time after the people phoned them. They saw the fire spreading to other trees due to heavy wind movement. After some hard efforts, they managed to extinguish the fire. Mescom personnel also helped them with precautionary measures.

The traffic movement was disrupted for some minutes on the road. But the locals helped the vehicles to find the alternative road.

People have appreciated the work done by fire brigade and Mescom.
