Mangaluru Jan 6: District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai launched digital display vehicle for city police commissionerate at police commissioner's office premises here on Friday January 6.

After the launch, Ramanath Rai said, "This is first digital display vehicle in the state which will move around the city to create awareness among public about the crime prevention.”

Ramanath Rai also released the brochure on crime prevention.

Police commissioner M Chandrashekar speaking on the occasion said, “This digital display vehicle will move around the city for the next two months to create awareness among public about the crime prevention. After that the vehicle will dedicate every two hours in a day for the same. We have witnessed several cases where people fall in trap for minor reasons such as fake calls. Even after knowing people do repeated mistakes and end up be a victim of the offense,"

"This digital display vehicle will move around the city which conveys message on how to be alert in such situation which will make difficult for the offender to commit any offense.” he added.

DCPs Sanjeev Patil, Shantharaju, Corporation Bank DGM Vittal Shenoy and others were present.
