Bantwal: Thieves steal cash from Madrasa teacher’s room

Bantwal, Jan 8: Some unidentified thieves stole cash from a Madrasa teacher’s room here on the evening of Friday January 7.

The incident happened at Badriya Juma Masjid Talapady near B C Road.

As per details of the case, when Sadar Ustad, a teacher in the Juma Masjid Madrasa, entered his room at around 8 pm on Friday, he discovered that the things in that room were not in order. Upon checking, he came to know that Rs 10,000 cash was stolen from his room. He immediately informed the Masjid management.

Police visited the place later and took up investigations. It is believed that the theft took place between 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm when Sadar Ustad had gone for Isha Namaz.

A case stands registered at Bantwal police station.
