Mangaluru: Scores of devotees converge for ISKCON Ratha Yatra

Mangaluru, Jan 8: International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Sri Jagannath Mandir, Kudupu Katte held its 11th annual 'Ratha Yatra' here on Saturday January 7, in the presence of thousands of devotees from across the country as well as abroad.

The Ratha Yatra was formally inaugurated by ISKCON governing body commissioner, Jayapataka Swamy Maharaj in the presence of ISKCON Sanyasi and governing body commissioner of Karnataka and South India, Bhanu Swamy Maharaj and ISKCON Sanyasi and minister of IDVM, Bhakthi Raghava Swamy Maharaj.

After performing the special puja symbolically, the Rathata Yatra was flagged off from CV Nayak Hall towards Bunts Hotel Circle. The colourfully decorated and illuminated majestic chariot proceeded via Jyothi circle to KS Rao Road, Navabharat circle, PVS circle and Bunts Hostel circle and finally culminated at CV Nayak Hall.
