Additional commissioner of police (Bengaluru East) Hemanth Nimbalkar said that the arrest was made on Saturday on suspicion that the person in the CCTV and Irshad Khan who came to complain along with the victim had a similar gait. After the interrogation, it was revealed that Irshad Khan had himself molested his sister-in-law so that nobody else would marry her. Irshad Khan wanted to marry her, and that is why he staged this drama, it is learnt.

Irshad chose Govindapura Road because he knew that Mujeeb Khan’s house on the road had CCTV cameras. Once the ‘molestation’ drama was staged, he went to Mujeeb Khan’s house and convinced him to handover the CCTV video and then he released it to media. He thought that once the people came to about the molestation, nobody would marry his sister-in-law, so that he could marry her. It is said that Irshad has been married for six years and since three years he was in love with his wife’s sister.

Irshad Khan staged the drama as the parents of ‘victim’ were looking for some proposals for her. Irshad took her to the police station to lodge the complaint. Police got suspicious after she gave different versions about the ‘kissing’ story. First she said that the ‘culprit’ kissed her and later she said she bit her tongue by mistake. Second lead came when they discovered that Irshad Khan too walked like the person in the video.

It is also revealed that the girl too played her role in the high drama.

Strange drama. If Irshad can't look after his wife properly why he should look for another girl. Both should be punished severely for betraying wife & sister.
