Puttur, Jan 13: State home minister, Dr G Parameshwar, announced that he would be meeting the entire expenses connected with the future education of Divit Rai, who is currently the home minister of Students Union of Haradi school. During the process of identifying excess teachers after verifying students-teachers ratio in government schools, four teachers from Haradi school had been transferred elsewhere. After Divit Rai sent a message direct to the home minister, Parameshwar had replied that he would be taking action. He intervened in the matter and prevailed on the education minister to see that the teachers of Haradi school are retained.

Parameshwar recollected this incident during his participation in 'Hemanta Sambhrama' celebrations in the said school on Thursday January 12. He said that after he received the message, he had put pressure on the education minister  against transferring the teachers of this school. He also praised Divit Rai as 'powerful home minister' of the school.

Parameshwar, in addition to adopting Divit Rai for his future education, also announced grant of Rs 10 lac for the school laboratory.
