Kundapur: Bike rider killed in accident at Ottinene

Kundapur, Jan 27: After a bus hit a motor bike near Raghavendra Math at Ottinene in Paduvari village on national highway 66, the rider suffered grievous injuries and lost his life. The accident occurred on Thursday January 26, and the victim has been identified as Manjunath Hangal.

The bus in question was going to Bhatkal from the town on Thursday morning. It is said that the bus which was moving on the right side of the road knocked down the bike that was coming from the opposite direction. There were two people on the ill-fated two-wheeler, and both of them suffered serious injuries. They were sent in two different ambulances to hospitals, but Manjunath did not survive the journey to the hospital. Suresh, who was riding the pillion, stands admitted into KMC Hospital, Manipal.

A case relating to this accident was filed at Byndoor police station.
