Mangaluru, Jan 28: Sullia town as well as Guthigar and Subrahmanya in the taluk unexpectedly received heavy rain on the evening of Friday January 27. The rainfall that continued for some time was so heavy that it disrupted normal life.

Roads turned into slushy stretches as a result. Light vehicles and pedestrians found it hard to move on the road. Several parts of the taluk like Bellare, Panja and Kadaba too received good rainfall.

Light drizzle was experienced in Puttur, Beltangady, Ujire and some other places. Some parts of Udupi also received drizzle on Friday. The climate in the city however remained dry.
