Mangaluru: Gau Yatra - Raghaveshwara seeks popular support for cow conservation

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 28: Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji, spiritual head of Ramachandrapur Math, said that the train of cow protection is heading towards its goal, with spiritual leaders taking the role of the engine, and the devotees, that of compartments. He said that this is a good omen for the society as a whole.

He was delivering benedictory address after accepting the 'Gau Dhwaja' handed over to him on his arrival at 'Mangala Gau Yatra' programme organized at Kulur in the city on Friday January 27.

"This place, named as 'Mangalabhoomi' for this holy feat, will witness emergence of a new power after two days. This new power will build a strong fort around the cows in the country and protect them from their enemies. Through this initiative, it will show its might and stop cow slaughter completely," he opined. He also said that wherever he led his 'Gau Yatra', he has received spontaneous support from the people and inspiration to move ahead. "We have been able to convince the people that human race can survive only if cows proliferate. The entire saint community is backing this endeavour. Let us sink differences of caste and creed, and come forward unitedly to offer protection to cows," he urged.

The Swamiji said that voice that is heard here and there about the need for cow conservation are like dots. He felt that by drawing a line through these dots, people can show that a strong force is protecting bovine species of animals. He told the people that his request to the people is only to be present at the programme and nothing else.

Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math said that Kulur will witness a programme that will create a new world record. "We were unable to take part in freedom struggle of our country. We now have got an opportunity to take part in the struggle for the freedom of cows. We will not be deterred by the fear of death in our movement. Because, saints in thousands will take part in this struggle," he stated. He lamented the fact that the government had created a number of stumbling blocks in organizing this programme, and that none of the ministers had taken part in this mammoth programme.

Sri Charukeerti Bhattaraka Swamiji, who was present, wanted the cow to be projected as national animal instead of tiger so that its conservation would become easier. Renukananda Swamiji of Narayanaguru Mahasamsthan Gartikere termed Raghaveshwara Swamiji as the modern day Bhageeratha for his unstinted efforts towards cow conservation.

Sri Vikhyatananda Swamiji of Gurusevashram,Balyottu, Brahmakumari Vishweshwari Akka, and Kalladka Dr Prabhakar Bhat were at the dais. On this occasion, director of 'Gau Mangala Yatra', Dr Y V Krishnamurty, presented a report on the success of Gau Yatra in seven states. Mahesh Kaje presented the programme.

Most of the people in India are non vegetarian, its preference of individuals of what to eat and not to eat,India is a decomocratic country and most of the Hindus consume meat including beef (cow) in the vedic times the upper caste(brahimins) were eating cow meat and in the Vedas also the cow meat is not probhited, these are all political gimmicks to fool the people.

While I respect the Swamiji, these gimmicks have not meaning or definition. Thousands of cows are roaming the streets living on garbage, plastic and rubbish. Sometimes makes me wonder how a educated generation flock to such gatherings and voice their support. Collect all the cows on the streets and feed them as NGO's do to orphan or poor children.

Cows are worshiped with such pomp and show but isn’t it unfair to let them loose and wander about in the streets and subject them be the victims of severe traffic hazards. One won’t be surprised if one sees a cow lying on the road with severe injuries, and no one is there to its’ aid up until the municipality lifts it either dead or alive.

AADAHRANEEYA AASAARAM BAPU SHOULD ALSO BE THERE WITH THIS SWAMIJI TO LEAD THE PROGRAMME. Mr modi is buzy in befrending with almost shakes or milkshakes leaders of gulf countries who largely purchse indian beef where his cowdung minded supporters are buzy in protecting the gomatha. THATS WHY MR OWAISI HAS SAID RIGHTLY THAT MR MODI HAS JUST PROBLEM WITH DESI DHAADIWALAS ,NOT WITH FORIEGN DHAADIWALAS

The Karnataka government should encourage Gou protection and increase the population of cows for the purpose of milk and meat to the consumers.

BEEF PRICES ARE INCREASED BECAUSE OF LIMITING CATTLE SLAUGHTERS AND INCREASE OF CATTLE THIEF'S.

THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD INCREASE CATTLE FARMS AND PROVIDE CATTLE'S SLAUGHTER PERMITS TO EACH TALUKS OF THE STATE SO AS TO PREVENT HIKE IN PRICES OF BEEF.

SEE THE RESULTS MEET PRICES WILL COME DOWN IMMEDIATELY FOR MEET EATERS.

Why Swamiji's can not transform the life of a poor person into unimaginable? Why can't they request God to give "Sadbuddhi" to some human beings? Why don't they pray for the unmarried who are not getting married even after 50 years of age....
