Mangaluru: Cow protection - Subramanian Swamy plans to move private bill

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 30: "Cows are our national asset. Towards saving them from getting butchered, there is only one way, that is, of bringing ban on cow slaughter through law. Slaughter of cows and their theft should be treated as grave crimes, and death penalty should be imposed for offenders. I will soon move private member's bill in the Rajya Sabha towards protection of cows," announced BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member, Dr Subramanian Swamy.

He was delivering keynote address at the 'Maha Triveni' programme held as part of the concluding programme of 'Mangala Gau Yatre' at Kulur here on Sunday January 29.

Swamy asserted that protection of cow is not the demand of the people, as it has already been clearly spelt out in Indian constitution. He pointed out that the authors of Indian constitution had also made a mention about banning of cow slaughter. "Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhiji, was also a staunch supporter of ban on cow slaughter. Babu Rajendra Prasad and Dr B R Ambedkar too had lent support to enforcing ban on cow slaughter. But tragically, secular forces have blocked the efforts to bring into force ban such a law," he lamented.

Subramanian Swamy recalled that even the Supreme Court, in its order of 1958, had observed that cow slaughter ban was a constitutional right. The court had observed in 2003 that the government should legally enforce ban on cow slaughter. "But none of the governments took interest in this direction. I am considering moving of a private bill to ban cow slaughter. Along with that, ban needs to be placed on the export of beef. In the eyes of Christians and Muslims too cow slaughter is not mandatory. For the law to come into effect, parliament has to discuss all the issues in detail," he explained.

He said that conservation of India's ancient culture, cow slaughter ban, and construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodha are the three things which the country longs for, and called upon citizens to pledge to vigorously work towards making these a reality. Swamy also hailed the programme now held in the city under the leadership of Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji, and cheered its total success. On this occasion, Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji announced that he will not go back from trying to achieve the goal of cow slaughter ban at any cost.

He also called upon the government to allow the cows being looked after by local communities to graze at Malemahadeshwara Hills, which has been banned since sometime, noting that cows there are dying for want of fodder, noting that cows are barred from entering the forest limits in the name of tiger protection. He also accused the government of neglecting the frequent deaths of Amrita Mahal breed of cows at Ajjampura in Chikkamagaluru because of the failure of the government to provide enough fodder to them.

President of Mahamangala Reception Committee, N Vinay Hegde, said that this programme has given a clear message to the country to protect cow species. He called upon the populace to work to reach the goal of banning cow slaughter so that this historic event gets etched out in the memory of the people for several centuries. In his audio message, Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Math appreciated the programme and asked religious leaders, government, and the the society to come together and frame programmes aimed at the welfare of the country in the long run.

EVERY ONE IS GOING TO DIE - SO DOES THAT MEAN THAT WE KILL A PERSON TODAY AS HE IS GOING TO DIE AT AGE 100 AND DOES THAT GIVE RIGHT TO ANYONE TO KILL ANYBODY. we can not kill a living being just for the taste of our tongue. This world does not belong to human beings only , every creature has its own role. And when it comes to COW, not only important people of our nation ( Mahatama Gandhi, Jai Prakash Narayan, Lal Bhadur Shashtri and many more ) but every religion has respected and implemented protection of Cows. Even in Mughals period Cow Slaughtering was ban in Inida. INDIAN FREEDOM FIGHT STARTED FROM COW - WHEN MANGAL PANDEY REFUSED TO TAKE CATRIDGE LAYERED WITH COW FAT INTO MOUTH. Congress symbol was also Cow and Calf - as they took vote in the name of Cow. Dr Bajaj has proved in his research that Cow slaughtering is responsible for Earth Quakes. India has taken 5 US patents & Chinese Patents of 5 Cow Products- as they have been found useful in curing Cancer. Cow slaughtering is harmful to ecology then why are we sentimental for slaughtering cow. INDIA WAS ONCE USING GOLD COINS - EVEN THE DEVELOPED COUNTRIES LIKE US, UK HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT- THAT WAS BECAUSE OF PROTECTION OF COWS. Why Foreigners came to India - Because India was wealthy country- and reason for its wealth was - COW PROTECTION. DO we want to give that world to our children which is not fit for living. NATURAL DISASTERS HAVE INCREASED MANIFOLD IN PAST FEW DECADES -AS PER SCIENTISTS MEAT EATING IS ONE OF THE MAJOR REASON FOR THAT. Supreme Court of India has already asked the government to impose country wide ban on Cow Slaughtering, and that was way back in 2005. SAVE COW SAVE WORLD !

It is a universal truth & known fact “Cow & Calf” was the symbol of Congress party (just for bhakt’s pleasure let me call it as Dongi Congi).
In case for a moment Subbu comes to know that Cow & Calf was originally belong to Congi, probably the army of bhakts may “call cow & calf” it as anti-xxxxnal.

All said & done the cow family was made Hindustan proud under the present govt ruling as we achieved numero uno position in beef export. The ban on cow slaughter will only further benefit the exporters.

Distinguishing between gods, distinguishing between human beings, distinguishing between animals, distinguishing between plants & trees, all these are the basic root causes for our utter foolishness of understanding the reality. Cows are created to fulfill certain necessities of human beings like all other living and non-living beings. What fuss is this to export beef and ban eating beef??? Real baseless and nonsense theory and belief. Even if one believes certain belief then let him or her believe it. But why impose it on another??? The fact that there is opposition to any belief means it is not universal truth. Then why use force and impose it on another??? All religions should follow the path that if any belief agrees to them then let them believe it but never impose it on another. Even GOD does not impose any thing on His creatures. HE LOVES AND RESPECTS HIS CREATION. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.

Friend do not compare death by eating something. Remember friend DEATH IS SURE FOR ANY LIVING THING. Only the reason for death is different. You may be a pure vegetarian, are you sure you are not going to die! If you can confirm I will follow your food system even the bitter gourd every time. That’s why take my advice eat anything you want, enjoy a peaceful life, and go nicely from this world. You got it?

if the concern for cows is genuine and if they truly believe in what they say, let the ban be imposed in the BJP ruled state of Goa before the upcoming elections or at least let them make them a vague mention of this in the manifesto and let the world know which one the Goans relish more : beef or jumla!

Before you cow lovers come saying 'haaanjiii' to Subbu, I want you all to search a news item related to Udaipur and read full contents. A small excerpts is as below :

    Quote
A newborn male calf had been taken away from its mother and just left on the roadside to die, a tiny, wet calf, curled up in the dust, which is the most terrible thing to happen. Farmers in the dairy industry simply get rid of their cows’ male offspring to prevent any loss of milk. Similarly, this calf must have been victim of some nearby dairy farmer’s wish to keep all the mother’s milk to sell and make profits.
