Mangaluru: Man kidnapped, thrashed over financial dispute

Mangaluru, Feb 3: A complaint stands filed in Kavoor police station in the city about a man having been kidnapped over financial dispute and thoroughly beaten up on Wednesday February 1. The victim of this incident happens to be Arafat (27) from Jokatte here.

Arafat said in his complaint that on Wednesday, he was kidnapped from Kulur by five men, identified as Nazi alias Nazeer Katipalla, his brother, Illyas Ullal, and three others. He says that the gang thrashed him inside the Innova car before dumping him at Iddya near Suratkal. The kidnappers fled after dropping him there, he said.

No details are available about the financial dispute mentioned in the complaint. Kavoor police have registered a case. They are investigating the complaint. No arrests have been made so far.
