Kundapur, Feb 6: A truck went out of the control of its driver when moving through Attikodlu Cross near Siddapur in the taluk, and hit a roadside electric pole and a jackfruit tree. In this accident, a man named Chandra who was travelling by this truck, suffered grave injuries and lost his life.
The lorry was moving towards Hosangady initially from Siddapur. When it reached Hennabail on the way, its driver recollected that he had left behind his cellphone at Siddapur. He turned the lorry back and was returning to Siddapur when the said accident occurred. Although Chandra, who was injured, was admitted into hospital, he did not positively respond to treatments.
A case about the accident was filed in Shankarnarayana police station.
