Mangaluru, Feb 9: The Tulu film industry has witnessed a massive growth in the past few years. Along with good films, coastalwood has also seen the rise of a few local talents. One such talent is actress Anvitha Sagar.
The beautiful lass from the coastal district made her entry into coastalwood with 'Dhand' which was directed by Ranjth Bajpe and produced by Shodhan Prasad. With an experience of hosting more than 300 shows, she has worked for a local TV channel for two years. Apart from acting, she is now working as a host for various shows whenever given an opportunity.
Anvitha was born and brought up in Sagar. She completed her PU at Sharada Vidyalaya and graduation and post-graduation at SDM College in the city.
Speaking to Daijiworld.com, Anvitha revealed that movies just happened. "I had auditioned for my role in 'Dhand'. As I was used facing cameras, I wasn't scared. To be frank, I even got good compliments from my director and co-star on the first day of my shoot".
The talented actress will be next seen in a Tulu and a Kannada film. 'Baley Pudhar Deeka Ee Preetig' directed by Manoranjan is all set for release this April. Kannada film 'Banna Bannada Baduku' directed by Ismail Moodushedde will hit the screens in April.
"I am not hurrying into signing films. I will consider doing a film if the script is good. You will see me in two different shades in my next films. In 'Baley Pudhar Deeka Ee Preetig', you will see me in a girl-next-door role while in 'Banna Bannada Baduku', I am playing the role of a married Muslim woman," she adds.
Speaking about her dream role, Anvitha says that she would love to play the role of actress Parvathy from the Malayalam movie 'Charlie' or the lead in any mythological film.
Anvitha feels that the competition in the film industry is quite high presently. "I learn something new in the industry every day. The most important virtue to be successful is patience. I am learning to be patient enough".
Anvitha loves cooking and dancing. She even spends a lot of time on music and reading novels.
