Mumbai celebrities walk fashion ramp with pets


Mumbai, Feb 20 (IANS): From yesteryear actor Jeetendra to actor-producer Arbaaz Khan and singers Armaan Malik to Sukhwinder Singh and more walked the ramp here as part of the city's first ‘Glam Dogs Show, a pet festival.

Mukkti Foundation organised the event in association with Oh My Dog, a pet salon.

The event was organised by Mukkti Foundation on Sunday in association with Oh My Dog. Among other attendees were actor Sidharth Malhotra, Aftab Shivdasani, politician Priya Dutt and cricketer Zaheer Khan.

At the 'Dog Championship Show' segment, dogs were given 'Pet Fare Awards' based on their breed, looks, friendly nature and health.

The evening started with a fashion show unveiling a wide range of beautiful collections by ace designer Archana Kochhar.

One of the unique attractions of the fashion show was the presence of adorable four-legged beauties.

Shaan not only walked with his pet but also sang his popular song "Chaar kadam" from "PK". Even Sukhwinder sang his hit track "Taal se taal mila" at the event, where comedian Raju Srivastav also tickled the audience's funny bone.

After Kochhar, another designer Meheka Mirpuri's collection saw celebrities like Shilpa Sakhlani, Apurva Agnihotri, Deepti Bhatnagar, Rahul Vaidya, Rakshanda Khan and Jimmy Sheirgill on the fashion ramp.

Dogs at the event were also given free vaccination by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Smita Thackeray of of Mukkti Foundation and Sankalp Sharma of Oh My Dog thanked every personality present there and supported the event. They urged all Mumbaikars to do their bit to save abandoned dogs and cats on streets.
