Rs 2.5 cr worth Ketamine Seized from Air Passenger in Chennai

Chennai, Feb 26: Customs officials on Monday seized 25 kg of ketamine, a banned drug, worth about Rs 2.5 crore, from a passenger at the Anna International Airport.

Customs Commissioner C Rajan told reporters that Mohammed Nasser (22), a resident of Velachery in the city, was scheduled to board a Bangkok-bound Thai Airways flight in the wee hours.

During the routine checking, ketamine, popularly called 'party drug', was found concealed in a baggage. The passenger was immediately arrested and the contraband seized, he added.
