Kuwait: TKK managing committee meets Indian Ambassador, discuss default

Kuwait, Feb 27: The newly elected members of the TKK Managing Committee met Sunil Jain, the Indian ambassador to Kuwait, at his office in the Indian Embassy, Kuwait on Sunday, February 19. The members discussed the developments of the association and also addresses the plight of employees of a leading company in Kuwait.

The members gave a brief self-introduction, and TKK president Wilson D’Souza informed the ambassador about the objectives and activities of the association. Wilson thanked the Indian Embassy for all their support to the association and handed over a floral bouquet as a token of gratitude.



The president further briefed the ambassador about plans of the association for the year and gave him a calendar of events with details of the managing committee members and a souvenir released during 'Tulu Parba' last year.  He explained the arrangements made for the 'blood donation camp' organised by Tulu Koota on February 24 at Central Blood Bank, Jabriya.

General secretary of the committee, Jagadeeshwara Shanubhogue updated the ambassador about welfare activity finalised for the year. He added that TKK will focus on 'child welfare' during the year. futhermore, he identified the projects which support children with special needs and are underprivileged.

Various other matters including cultural activities of the association were discussed during the meeting.

The ambassador was delighted at the enthusiasm of the committee members and the activities planned by the association. He assured his support in all possible ways through the embassy, conveying his best wishes to the organisation.

The TKK vice president Vijay Kumar Kairangala then requested the ambassador’s support to resolve the issue regarding default by a leading company in Kuwait. The company defaulted in paying salary and other dues to the employees. The ambassador heard the plea and assured a possible solution to the situation within the limits of the embassy.
