Pet Fed to make Mumbai debut soon

Mumbai, Mar 2 (IANS): Pet Fed, a pet festival which has had three editions in the capital, will now make its debut here. It has support from Bollywood actor Dino Morea.

The festival will be formally announced on Sunday in Juhu here.

"After seeing the awestruck response at Pet Fed Delhi, I'm super keen on bringing the pet festival to Mumbai," Dino said in a statement

"People here know the importance of having a pet as a lot of them are living away from their families," he said.

"Pets, as we know, are capable of becoming our best friends. I am sure the first chapter of Pet Fed in Mumbai will be the biggest Pet Fed ever and we'll be able to give the pets in Mumbai a weekend they deserve."

Akshay Gupta, an alumnus of Delhi University, is the brain behind Pet Fed. He started it at age 22 with the sole aim of providing pet parents with a new and exciting experience.

Talking about taking the fest to Mumbai, Gupta said: "Although there had been few cities in our mind, we have decided to wait no more and get started with Pet Fed Mumbai.

"We will be making the official announcement for this in Mumbai soon and India's biggest pet festival will take place in the later months of this year.

"With Dino on board as an investor and with all the positive energy, we are looking forward to keep on getting bigger and better."
