I try not to bring emotions in work: Aamir on nepotism

Mumbai, Mar 14 (PTI): Superstar Aamir Khan believes it is human nature to help those who are close to you but says he tries not to mingle emotions with work.

Actress Kangana Ranaut kickstarted the debate on nepotism in Bollywood by calling host Karan Johar the "flag bearer of nepotism" on his show, which led to a war of words between them.

Aamir declined to comment on the particular topic but offered his opinion on the topic "in general".

"In general, I think it's a normal human tendecy to try and help people who you love and care for. It doesn't have to be someone who is part of your family, it could be someone you care for. It's a very natural emotion."

Aamir, however, says he ensure that emotions don't interfere with his work.
"I try to make sure that in my work, I don't let it interfere. As a creative person, I am responsible to my audience and I give huge importance to that. I try not to bring in emotions in my work."

Last year, the actor delivered a huge blockbuster with "Dangal" which also saw the launch of Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar.

When asked if he will be actively involved on their careers, Aamir says, "I hope not... I feel all four of them are very talented. They are very bright and intelligent girls. I don't think they need my advice but if they do then I am always there for them. I hope they have wonderful careers. They we be assets to the industry."
