Gulshan Devaiah 'mildly jealous' of Rajkummar Rao

Mumbai, March 19 (IANS): Actor Gulshan Devaiah admits he experiences "mild jealousy" of the consistency maintained by Rajkummar Rao in his performances.

The "Hunterrr" actor calls Rajkummar the "best among the best" because of the latter's "remarkable consistency as a 'good actor'".

"Of course, there are a few absolutely breathtaking performances by other actors (female actors included) that I would rate very highly, but none of us in my opinion come even close to the remarkable and dependable consistency of Raj," Gulshan posted on his Facebook page.

He admits Rajkummar -- who has proven his acting mettle with films like "Shahid" and "Aligarh" -- makes him "want to do better".

"I do admit some mild jealousy but it's all in the positive direction. He is a true great in the making. Much respect to him," he said.

Gulshan's comment -- rather compliment -- comes soon after Rajkummar's performance in the latest release "Trapped" has left the audience cheering for his ability to slip into myriad roles convincingly.

The movie features him as a man stuck in a high-rise without basic amenities and tells a gritty and gripping tale of his survival.
