ABU DHABI – Mar 12: Emirates Paradela Foundation – a vibrant group of youngsters based in UAE are once again are set to enthrall the large audience from all over UAE and from other gulf countries to present their “PICNIC 2008 – a Emirates Paradela Musical Spectacular” on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the picturesque location of Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club, near Global Village on the Emirates Road Dubai for a evening of music, dance, and variety entertainment.
Emirates Paradela, who are known for their innovative presentation of quality entertainment have changed their format of entertainment to have a remarkable evening this year with a difference.
The event will commence at 5 p.m. and will go on untill 11:00 p.m.

For the first time UAE will witness the “Star” performers from India - the Star Voice of India Finalists Sumitra Iyer and Irfan, who are creating waves all over India are hooked in this time to perform on stage with their golden melodious voices to cater to all sections of the UAE audience with their catchy numbers from Indian Movies.
SKYHIGH BAND
The “Star” performers will be accompanied by “SKYHIGH BAND”, the latest music sensation from India who will be flown in from Goa to perform live on stage with their scintillating foot taping music that will set the stage on fire with their tremendous repertoire of choicest music and songs.
“SKYHIGH BAND” who have recently returned from their successful tour of Middle Eastern Countries, wherein they enthralled the crowds at Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain with their cauldron of different renditions of foot stomping dance music. Shortly this charismatic band is planning for their international debut in Kenya and London. The band consists of Aurville Rodrigues on drums, Blazio Estan on Rhythm guitars/Vocals, Judas Collins on Keyboard/Synthesizers, John Sequeira on Bass Guitar and Elvis Alves on Lead guitar.
Emirates Paradela this year have deviated from their traditional day long event to an evening of full fledged entertainment to cater for the multinational audience.
Along with the above, there will be other variety entertainment which is a closed guarded secret by the organizers. The event will have lots of prizes and surprises, which will prove to be a sell out show.
There will be number of food stalls which will cater to the tastes of all will be available.

The event will be compered by spirited Melita D’Souza and youngster Jonathan Rego, who will keep the audience on their toes with their wit and humour.
Entry passes are priced at Dhs.40/- for adults and Dhs. 25 for children below the age of 11.
In a communiqué to Daijiworld Frankline D’Cunha – the President of Emirates Paradela, informed that buses are being arranged to travel to and from the venue (Abu Dhabi, Dubai & Sharjah) on request with a minimum fee of Dhs.10/- per person. He has also requested people attending the programme to make use of the buses for safety reasons.
Frankline said that the entire proceeds generated from this event will be utilized for the use of cancer patients back home. He is hopeful that the event will be a great success taking into consideration their previous track record. Emirates Paradelas - A brief profile
Emirates Paradela Foundation was formed in UAE in the year 1997 with a noble thought of like minded individuals with an objective to carry out charitable and social work through the support of the community leaders.
A small venture which had a humble beginning has now grown into a very organized full fledged unit able to cater to a larger section of the Society and render yeomen service in educating the poor and needy together with providing medical care to the elderly and deprived. This has been possible due to the selfless and determined efforts of members.
Their mission of LOVE….LIFE….LAUGHTER…is their driving force which motivates them to carry out their social ventures effectively.
Emirates Paradela Foundation not only helps needy people back home but also organizes entertainment programmes free medical camps for the poor UAE based labourers.
To generate funds, Emirates Paradelas organize quality entertainment programmes once in two years, this is all possible due to the Divine help and support of the like minded generous sponsors and well wishers they say.
Their total disbursement for the year 2006 – 2007 alone amounted to Rs. 4,95,200/- and Rs. 6,97,700/- in the year 2007 – 2008, which speaks about transparent and professional nature of their dealings.
Recently they have partnered with SAMANVYA, a NGO trust based in Mangalore – India that administers the scholarship programme for the students in Mangalore and its surrounds.
Their motive of supporting the poor and needy has been well absorbed and acclaimed by the people and the enthusiasm of its members make them a committed formidable force towards the betterment of Society.
