Sharjah, Apr 9: People in Sharjah will be taken to the old golden days of Hindi cinema music this month end. Hanif Perliya is going to present ‘Sunheri Yaadein’ on April 27 at Pakistan Social Centre near Indian Association at 7.30 pm.

The musical event will feature the songs of great legends of Hindi film music like Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Hemanth Kumar, Mukesh, Asha Bhonsle and others.

Hanif Perliya from Bantwal near Mangaluru is a hardcore Mohammed Rafi fan and a ardent follower of Tagur Das who is a Rafi buff for decades. Perliya’s earlier album release in 2003 was a hit in Gulf region. Recently he won first prize in Mohammed Rafi singing competition organised by VOK Radio.

Tagur Das, Anitha Serrao nee Dsouza and Hanif Perliya will render their voices in the musical event. Dr Swaralaya from Radio VOK will compere.
