What a sad incident. One should always go away from water as soon as it starts lightening and thunder.Even when at home from bathroom. There is a close electric circuit when one in water and bare foot.Second never stay under a tree when starts lightening. But many times we forget this and think, lightening might be less.Nowadays it has become extreme more lightening strucks and people die.Because of ozon layer has become thinner.or missing.we have to think about it more ,and of get more greenery ,less use of smoke from industrys.

Lightening conductors must be installed in areas where there are high chances of lightening strikes. Otherwise many innocent lives will be lost.

Mobile phone towers act just like lightening preventers by letting positive & negative charges dissipate into the ground.
In an open area people become the nearest object for the lightening to strike. When its thundering avoid those areas including standing under a tree.
If anybody experience the hair on their body stands erect, then move away from that place as its a sign of imminent strike of lightening.
