Mangalore, Mar 22: Prof Arunachalam Kumar has taken over as dean of the K S Hegde Medical Academy. The medical college, now entering its tenth year of establishment, is one among the many managed by the Nitte Education Trust.

Dr Kumar, a popular teacher, has over 29 years teaching and research experience. Recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including the T M A Pai Gold Medal for research, the Rajyotsava Award and the Rank & Bolt Award from Air India – the professor has authored six books and has presented or published over 180 scientific research projects.
 
He is a reviewer for the British medical Journal and is listed in the Limca Book of Records as one with the maximum range of scientific papers in India.

    Indeed it is a great news to know that, my beloved teacher Prof Arunachalam Kumar appointed as the Dean of KSHEMA. I had the opportunity to be his student at KMC Mangalore. He is a multifaceted teacher at par excellence. He has taught me Embryology in Anatomy and if he teaches anything once it shall be a permanent asset for life as his teaching skills cannot be compared. He is a renowned researcher whose papers are even publsihed in the journals-Nature which is one of the highest journal in Medicine. He is a great and very nice human being with all the great qualities and goodwill to direct his student to greater heights. Congratulations to you Sir, May your future endeavor be successful and wish you the very best

    congratulations to DR.Kumar.I have known Kumar since the past 3 decades and known him as a sincire and dedicated teacher.He is one of the finest teacher in our country.I am sure the institution will rise to the greatest of hights with him at the helm of affairs.
