Muscat: Mangalorean Balaga’s Sowharda Koota at Sohar on Mar 28

Muscat, Mar 24:
Mangaloreans living and working around Sohar and its surrounding Batinah Ragion will have a great opportunity to spend a day of fun and entertainment on Friday March 28 at Liwa Sports Club, Liwa, Sultanate of Oman.  The “Sneha Sowharda Koota” function organized by the Mangalore Balaga – Sohar will commence at 10 am and expected to conclude at 5 pm in the evening.

 “We want to offer a complete entertaining day to our Mangalorean families living of this region” said an eminent Mangalorean of the Sohar region and known as “Christopher Columbus of Liwa”, Frank Lobo to www.daijiworld.com  “We have formulated variety entertainment, traditional dances, and fun games. Above all, the traditional Mangalorean food will be special attraction. It will be a great day for our members and their families.”   

Naveen Kumar Amin, director of Audit Services – M/s Talal Abu Ghazaleh International – Muscat will be the chief guest of the day. There are many prominent Mangaloreans of the region who are expected to attend the function.

As informed by the officials, the function will commence at 10 am with skits, dances and variety entertainment by children and ladies followed by traditional Mangalorean style lunch. There will fun games for children and adults in the afternoon.  “Bhootada Kola”, a presentation reflecting tradition of the Coastal Karnataka regional culture will be a special attraction of the day.
