Working on 'Fashion Designer' was adventurous: Anisha

Chennai, May 2 (IANS): Actress Anisha Ambrose says shooting for filmmaker Vamsy's upcoming Telugu drama "Fashion Designer - S/O Ladies Tailor" was adventurous as it required her to get away from city life and shoot extensively in a village set-up.

"The whole experience was adventurous. We shot in some small villages in Godavari district where we didn't even have mobile connectivity. We had to stay in huts during the course of our shoot. We had absolutely no connection with the outside world," Anisha told IANS.

Though slightly challenging, she said it was an experience of a lifetime.

"It's the kind of experience I will never forget. I still remember when we had to wake up at 2 in the morning and get ready for our first shot at 5 a.m.

"Initially, I thought I can't live without my mobile phone, but as we started shooting I realized it is still doable," she said.

Talking about her role, she said: "I play a girl who has just returned from the US. She visits her parents' village where she adjusts to fit in as she tries to learn more about the lifestyle.

"I'm opening up to different kind of roles. In my other Telugu film with Manoj, I play a journalist."

This year, Anisha will be making her Tamil debut in a yet-untitled suspense drama with Sibiraj.

Thrilled about foraying into a new industry, she said: "I shoot for my part from this month. It's a very interesting role and I'm kicked about it."
