Akshay Kumar discusses 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' with PM Modi


New Delhi, May 9 (PTI): Akshay Kumar was in the capital and the actor took the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The 49-year-old actor took to Twitter to share a picture with the PM and said they discussed his film "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha".

"Met PM @narendramodi and got the opportunity to tell him about my upcoming 'Toilet-Ek Prem Katha'," wrote Akshay.

The National Award-winning actor said he was overjoyed when the title of the film brought a smile on PM Modi's face.

"His smile at just the title made my day!" he continued.PM Modi replied to Akshay, saying, "Happy to have met. My best wishes." "Thank you so much Sir. It was indeed a pleasure," Akshay wrote back.

The film, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, is based on a love story against the backdrop of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. "Toilet..." also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher and Sana Khan.
The movie will hit the theatres on June 2.
