Kundapur, May 12: Radhika Pai, a Science student of PUC-II, from Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Gangolli secured 596, the highest marks in her stream at the Pre-university level state board examination. The results of the exams were announced on Thursday, May 11.
Radhika is the daughter of Madhava Pai and Maya Pai, residents of Gangolli. She achieved this feat without going to any coaching classes but by studying at home, what her lecturers taught her in the college.
Speaking to reporters, she said that she had expected more marks but was satisfied with what she scored.
“There are opportunities to excel both in urban and rural areas. The encouragement by my parents and stress free environment has helped me immensely. I was also encouraged in the college by lecturers patted my back and said that it was possible for me to achieve it. I intend to pursue engineering in information technology,” she added.
Radhika Pai also secured 7th position in the state in SSLC result.
