Mangaluru, May 17: An outstanding performance was displayed by the St Aloysius Evening Pre University College students who work by the day and studied in the evening. The college that celebrated its Golden Jubilee last year displayed pride in its students who obtained an overall 90% result, with 90% in Commerce and 86% in Arts. The perseverence and grit of the students was well rewarded with the results.
Karan K Varne, who works in the hardware shop in Thokottu and travels in the evening to college to pursue education was declared the Arts Topper, with 464 marks. He had scored a 36% in SSLC but his hard work and perseverence in PUC-II gave him a reward of 77.3%.

Ganesh, who works by day at a milk shop scored 438/600 in Commerce.
Harini who works at a garment shop has scored 403/600 in Commerce amidst all the odds. She lost her father in between the board exams 2017.
The other toppers are Shilpa V of Commerce with 432 marks.
Swathi Kambale scored a cumulative of 413 marks in Arts.
The management, principal and staff heartily congratulated all Aloysians.
