Mangaluru, May 20: Band Charitra, which is creating ripples in the music industry, released its latest Konkani music album 'Chinthnam- the new thoughts' on May 14.
The unique Konkani music album by the youth based band from Mangaluru, was released at Bantwal during the fancy fete event organized by the youth of ICYM Bantwal deanery. Band Charitra performed during the event and the music album was released by the president Of ICYM Bantwal deanery Arwin D’Mello.
After the huge success of their Hindi music album 'Dosthi', Band Charitra which became the first band to produce a Hindi album in coastal Karnataka, is back once again with 'Chinthnam' in their mother tongue Konkani. 'Chinthnam- the new thoughts' is a Konkani music album consisting nine songs of different genres of desi rock style.
The music of this album is composed by Band Charitra, using limited instruments so that these songs could be played by any other bands in live shows.
The album contains a new rendition of four songs from their very first album which was also named 'Chinthnam' released in 2008.
The music has been arranged by Band Charitra members - Loy Valentine Saldanha (Keys), Patson Pereira (Guitars), Ian Sachin Saldanha (Drums) and Rikith Leonard Soans (Bass Guitar). The lyrics for this album have been written by Melwyn Antony D'Souza, Ralph Paul D'Souza and Loy Valentine Saldanha. Apart from the band members, this album also features vocalists like Munita Veigas Rao, Patrick Pereira, Wilma Pereira and Shainy D'Souza.
The album will be soon released in GCC countries and other parts of the world.
