Dubai: ‘Sakath’ UAE’s Day-long Picnic Turns out to be Memorable

Dubai, Apr 5: It was a ever memorable day in the history of ‘Sakath–UAE’, a year- old association of St Anne's Church Thottam parishioners residing in the UAE. SAKATH organized a day-long outing which was open to all at Flamingo Beach Resort Umm Al Qwain on Friday April 4.

Programme started with a prayer led by Melwyn D Souza. Sakath president Kelvin D’Souza welcomed the gathering and thanked all the participants for attending in such a huge numbers.

Sports secretary Ravi D’Almeida conducted various mind-blowing games which were appreciated by one and all. As a symbol of unity Sakath invited most of the organizations of Dubai and honoured them with floral bouquets. Compere Nanu Marol Thottam specially thanked Walter Nandalike- Editor-in-Chief – www.daijiworld.com   and Sunil Fernandes, Editor – www.karavalmilan.com for extending their full support to reaching out and making "Sakath" a popular association.

Live music from Maxim Pereira of "Baila Boom" fame and James,  a household name in Dubai and DJ Freddie entertained the huge crowd gathered and kept them on their toes with their scintillating   numbers.
Delicious buffet lunch served by Flamingo Beach resort was enjoyed by the gathering.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of different games by Sakath office-bearers. Founder member of Sakath William Fernandes proposed vote of thanks and honoured the sponsors of the event with floral bouquets.

The entire day-long programme was compered by Nanu Marol-Thottam.
