Mangalore: Former Editors of ‘Amcho Yuvak’ Felicitated at ‘Yuva Gaaz’

Mangalore, Apr 5: Former editors of ‘Amcho Yuvak’ Konkani monthly were felicitated at ‘Yuva Gaaz,’ a programme organized to commemorate the silver jubilee of the monthly magazine at Don Bosco hall on Saturday, April 5 evening. Special issue of ‘Amcho Yuvak’ was also released on the occasion.

Joel Pereira, eminent Konkani musician and dramatist was the chief guest. Releasing the ‘Amcho Yuvak’ special issue, he said that younger generation should have ambition to achieve great heights but at the same time they should also be committed to their goals. Only then could success be achieved, he opined.



























Former editors of ‘Amcho Yuvak’ were felicitated on the occasion. Fr Anil D’Souza, director of Mangalore Diocese Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) presided over the function.

Prakash Siddakatte, editor of ‘Amcho Yuvak,’ presented the history of the magazine. Avina Mendonca Miyar, associate editor of the magazine, officiated the felicitation ceremony. Navin Noronha, president of Mangalore ICYM, welcomed the gathering. Samanta D’Souza Attur compered the programme.

Members of ICYM presented various cultural programmes which entertained the audience to the fullest.

    The cultural programme was really really excellent .. specially the live music performance by the young "Club expressions " unfortunately, there is no mention of the group name or the cultural programme in this news ...
