Moodbidri, Apr 7: Kodangal Ward Municipality member Maxim D'Souza (52) passed away in a private hospital in Mangalore on Sunday April 6.

Maxim hails from Bajagoli and is the owner of  an ice cream parlor near Mahaveera college, rendered his service as Member of the Development Committee of Kadangallu Marigudi.

He was admitted into a private hospital in Mangalore due to brain hemorrhage  and  passed away on Sunday April 6.
Maxim D'Souza first entered his political life through  Muncipal Corporation on a Congress ticket  and was elected from Kodangallu Ward. He was made President of Standing Committee of the party.  

He contested for the second time against Stevan Vincent D'Souza and was defeated.  Later  he contested through JDS and defeated former Municipality President H Premananda Prabhu in the last election.

He leaves behind his wife and two children, family members and vast number of well-wishers.

Former MLA K Abhaychandra Jain, former Minister K Amarnath Shetty, Municipality President Boja Kotian, Vice President Koragappa have offered their homage to Maxim on his sad demise
