Mumbai, Jun 14 (Deccan chronicle): On Monday, a 27 YO struggling actress, Kritika Choudhary, was found dead in her Andheri West apartment in Mumbai.

The Amboli police had to break open the front door (bolted for four days) of Kritika’s flat at around 3: 45 pm after a neighbour reported a stench coming from her home.

Police has registered a murder case and is questioning anyone who has had anything to do with her- from friends to the watchman of her society.

A source informed a leading daily, "The police on Tuesday zeroed in on a suspect and detained him after receiving circumstantial evidence. They have also informed her family in Haridwar; they are expected to reach on Wednesday."

The actress had a small role in Kangana Ranaut’s 2013 film ‘Rajjo’ and was working in television industry.

Police, however, has confirmed that Kritika Choudhary was not sexually assaulted before her death. She succumbed to head injuries from an attack with knuckle duster.

“She was found on the bed in a semi-nude state, but her post-mortem report suggests she was not sexually assaulted. The police also recovered the knuckle duster,” said a source to a daily.

Not only has the police recovered the knuckle duster, they also have a few leads and a prime suspect in hand.

“The post-mortem report suggests no sexual assault. We have got a few leads,” Paramjit Singh Dahiya, DCP (zone IX), told mid-day..
