Mangalore: Milagres Ladies League Celebrates Family Day

Mangalore, Apr 13: The Milagres Centenary Hall was booming with excitement and entertainment today - April 13th, 2008 as the Ladies Social Service League (LSSL) - Milagres Unit celebrated "Family Day".
 
The programme began with a formal welcome by the President of LSSL Mrs Lily Pereira who introduced the Guest of Honour Mrs. Elaine Fernandes (editor women vision - daijiworld.com) and the other dignitaries on the dais - Fr Walter D'Mello Parish Priest of Milagres Church, Mr Alwyn Rosario Vice President of the Parish Council and Mrs. Lynette DSouza the Secretary of the LSSL. 
 
Fr. Walter D,Mello and the dignitaries on the dais lit the lamp followed by a prayer song sung by the members of the LSSL accompanied by Ranjan on the guitar.
 
Ms. Tiffany welcomed the gathering with a warm welcome and her gracious style. Rahul Fernandes, livened the programme with his announcements and also conducted games of housie housie.

The Milagres Hall was jam-packed with activity throughout the whole day. The games stalls which were a hit not only with the youth but also the elders were totally crowded with people who were trying their luck, to hold the brick for 2 minutes (which was indeed a tough task!!)  or fishing at the fishing pond etc..
