Bengaluru: Veteran Congress leader H Vishwanath finally bids adieu to Congress

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 24: Former MP and veteran Congress leader, H Vishwanath from Mysuru, who was at loggerheads with chief minister, Siddaramaiah, on various issues since the last several months, finally resigned from his parent party on Friday June 23.

He went from Bangalore Press Club by foot to the office of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and handed over his resignation letter to KPCC president, Dr G Parameshwara.

As soon as he arrived at KPCC office, many Congress activists approached him with a request not to leave the party. But Vishwanath just smiled at them and handed over his resignation letter to Parameshwara. Before leaving, he said he was very much pained at having to leave the party.

Parameshwara said he would send the resignation letter to All India Congress Committee (AICC), duly revealing that he had make efforts a number of times to prevail on Vishwanath to change his mind. "He has his own reasons for resigning. As he is a member of AICC, I am sending the resignation letter to the central leadership," he explained.

    Good morning.
You may ridicule our Jannnana. But don't underestimate his charisma. Along with Jannanna you will loose almost of the Billava votes of DK. Remaining are already with BJP now. No matter we are critics of Jannanna for his Tongue and the brand Khangress/Scamgress he represents , there is no iota of doubt about his integrity as politician/clean. We have issues with his Jaathivaadhi politics, but at the same time he has support of the same base which is in majority. Don't even dream to think your party can get away with the resentment from majority to retain Mlore MP seat which for time being is reserved for BJP. BJpoojary if he comes out of your party , rest assured accept ULLAL, you guys better not spend any money for elections.
