Mangaluru, Jul 7: The Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike, under whose aegis a huge protest by pro-Hindu outfits and BJP was held at BC Road on Friday July 7 in violation of the prohibitory orders in the district, demanded a ban on all pro-Muslim outfits in the state and slammed the Congress government for 'supporting' them.
Addressing a press meet here hours after the protest, convenor of Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike Muralikrishna said, "By staging such a massive protest at BC Road, we have shown what we can do. We have given a fitting answer to all the political parties through our protest. I thank all the Hindus for supporting and taking part in the protest.
"A number of Hindu youths have been murdered or attacked in the state, be it Kuttappa in Kodagu, Rudresh in Bengaluru or now Sharath at BC Road. All these were planned by Muslim outfits like SDPI and PFI. In fact, it has been proved that PFI was behind Kuttappa's death. These outfits are terror groups and should be banned," he alleged.
"The ruling Congress government should stop supporting these Muslim groups for vote bank. The Congress is doing disgraceful things by supporting them for vote bank and to appease the minority community.
"If these groups make Hindus lose patience, it will be bad for the entire community as well for the government," he warned.
"Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike is ready to fight and will prepare other Hindus to fight for their rights as well. The government, and especially chief minister Siddaramaiah, and ministers Ramanath Rai and U T Khader should stop supporting forces that are trying to suppress the Hindu society and bring in proper law to deal with them," Muralikrishna added.
Hindu Jagarana Vedike member Radhakrishna Adyanthaya said, "The pro-Muslim groups should be stopped before they start sparking communal violence all over the state. If they are not stopped by the government, then pro-Hindu groups will have to forcibly stop them for survival of the Hindu community.
"The Congress leaders, especially Ramanath Rai should stop supporting Muslim outfits. The Hindu community will not take this suppression lying down, we will fight back for our rights," he said.
On being asked about the condition of RSS activist Sharath who was attacked in BC Road, Radhakrishna said he continues to be critical.
BJP Yuva Morcha leader Harish Poonja, Raviraj BC Road and others were present.
