Dubai, Apr 28:  SMKC, the premier charity organization, affiliated to St.Mary’s Church, Dubai will be conducting indoor cricket and throwball tournament on Friday, the 11th of July, 2008 at Insportz, Dubai , in a communique, said its dynamic leader,  Boniface Carlo, Main Coordinator of SMKC Dubai. 

Team registration will be on first come first serve  basis  and the  last date for  registration is  31st May,  2008.  Tournament is  open for konkan speaking Christians, preferably Zamat/Parish level  and Association teams .

Interested teams may register their names with the following SMKC  sports committee members paying a registration fee of AED 150.00 per team.

Rules of the game:

Cricket:-

• Age limit – 14 years and above.
• Game will be played on Eight overs format.
• There will be a maximum of  9 teams for the tournament and it will be chosen on first come first serve basis.
• There will be maximum of 8 players in each team (no less than six players) and two substitutes.
• All the playing equipments will be provided by the Organizers – SMKC Dubai.
• Lunch will be provided for the playing team members only.
• Rule book will be provided to each playing team and the game will be conducted as per the rule book.
• Trophies will be awarded to Winner and Runners up team, Best Bowler & Best Batsman.
• Each playing team may come dressed in their own uniform  and sports shoes.
• Play will commence sharp at 9 am.
• Decision of umpire is final and no dispute  will be entertained by the Organizers – SMKC Dubai     

THROWBALL:

• There will be a maximum of six players in each team and two substitutes.
• Rule book will be provided to each playing team and the game will be conducted as per the rule book
• All the playing equipments will be provided by the tournament Organizer.
• Each playing team may come dressed in their own uniform.
• Winner & Runners up trophy and the best  player will be presented at the end of the tournament matches.
• Play will commence sharp at 9 am.
• Decision of umpire is final and no dispute will be entertained by the Organizer - SMKC Dubai.
• Lunch will be provided only to  the playing team members.
