Puttur, Aug 1: “BJP was spreading wrong news through WhatsApp about the murders that took place in Dakshina Kannada district. None of the arrested persons belong to Congress party. In fact they are from Sangh Parivar and SDPI,” said district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai on Monday, July 31.
He was speaking in the Congress party workers’ meet held in Vittal organised by Vittal-Uppinangadi Block Congress.
“MP Nalin Kumar Kateel wrongly accuses me of not visiting the houses of murder victims. Did he visit the houses of Jalil Karopadi and Ashraf Kalayi?” Rai added.
“Do you know how much of benami properties Union Minister Sadananda Gowda possesses? Shobha went from place to place by telling the lies about situation in the district. She even included the living people as dead in the list she presented to the Union Government. Where did she get the property she holds now? Is she from royal family and inherited it?” he questioned.
Minister U T Khader and MLA Shakuntala Shetty also spoke in the meet.
