Muscat, May 6: The Mangalorean Catholic Center of the Parish, (MCCP, Sts. Peter & Paul Church – Ruwi) will be organizing the Annual day function on Friday, 9th May  2008 at the Main Parish Hall of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ruwi.  

As per the official announcement made by the current Executive Committee of MCCP the program will commence at 10.30 am with a “Thanks Giving High Mass” in Konkani followed by an entertainment program. The new Executive Committee for the year 2008 – 2009 will be formed under the guidance and advice of Fr. Albert D Silva on the same day during the entertainment progam.   

“We will have a brief yet very interesting cultural program for our members by our members.” Dilip Correa, main coordinator of Cultural, Spiritual and Community Services committees informed www.daijiworld.com. “Though the entertainment program is short, we have put a lot of efforts to make it really sweet and enthralling to our audience. We have a new and young Mangalorean choreographer who will bring scintillating dance items.  After a gap of couple of years, comedy kings of Muscat Konkani theatre are expected to entertain the Mangaloreans with an enjoyable skit. We want to see all the members to come on that day and enjoy the program.”

It was really a memorable year for MCCP and its versatile executive committee. It started with an entertainment program of “Sangeet Sobhann” in August 2007 and went on with various sports events and cultural programs. “Good Family Better Society” was the theme of the year and Executive Committee members under the leadership of Stanley T. H. Fernandes - President, Valerian Dantis – Main Coordinator : Sports & Finance Committees and Dilip Correa – Main Coordinator : Cultural, Spiritual and Community Services Committees, worked hard to offer good and entertaining programs during the year.

“2007 – 2008 year was a fruitful year for MCCP” says the current President Stanley T. H. Fernandes. “and we have tried to offer the events with best of our abilities and resources.  I am confident that every member has enjoyed this year and certainly we look forward to have a more challenging year ahead.”
