Bengaluru, Aug 2: Surprisingly, Karnataka chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, has never ventured out of his official residence, Kaveri, since the last four days. He has not made a public appearance during these four days and has reportedly remained incommunicado, as per reports.
The chief minister had attended a programme organized at Mysuru on Saturday last on the occasion of death anniversary of his son. In the list of his programmes for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the words, 'reserved' has been mentioned. Reportedly, the CM is not even meeting party MLAs and leaders. On Wednesday too no programmes have been listed for CM's participation.
This development has gained lot of attention as it has happened at a time when Congress legislators from Gujarat have been kept in a resort near the city and the question of according recognition to Veerashaiva - Lingayat at a separate religion have created turmoil in the state.
Sources close to the CM however said that Siddaramaiah has been summoning principal secretaries of some departments to his residence for disposing off important files.
