Mangaluru, Aug 2: Angered by the income tax (I-T) raids on state energy minister D K Shivakumar, members of Youth Congress here on Wednesday August 2 attacked at the city's central revenue office at Attavar.

The protestors pelted stones at the income tax building and broke its window panes.

Led by A C Vinayaraj, they also burnt tyres and held protest.

They also shouted slogans condemning the raid and against PM Modi.

Addressing the protest, Vinayaraj said, "BJP came to power in Manipur, Goa and other states by doing horse-trading. Now they are trying to do horse-trading in Gujarat too. Our Congress MLAs in Gujarat were facing threat, which is why they came to Bengaluru for shelter.

"The Modi-led government is playing politics of revenge by ordering  I-T raids on D K Shivakumar who is part of the Congress state government which has given excellence administration over the last four years. This is blow to the democracy and unity of India," he said. He also condemned the use of CRPF personnel by the I-T department to conduct the raids.

Before he could complete his speech, the police led by inspector Beliappa intervened and dispersed the crowd.

Ravi Pawar ASI i am very proud to see you my friend in police uniform . he was my roommate in NITTE karkala. very brilliant student in studies and hardworking . he hailed from a very poor family background . even though he was a engineering student back in 2008-2009 he was more attracted to government services . whole night he used to study and scored distinction in every semester , during engineering semester holidays he used to do laborer job in panambur warehouse for 1 month loading wheat bags to lorry . i was shocked to know this fact when i asked him back in 2009 after our semester holidays that how did he spend his vacation .
you can clearly see him pictures 8,9,10 and 15 .

I request congress party whether they are working for poor people of these country or in favour of corrupt & rich people.

Government should pass the resolution, if anyone harms/damage/vandalize the government property, First thing Who vandalized the government property he should bare the cost and next leader of protest and vandalized person should be put behind bar for more than 2 years.... See then no one will dare to damage government property, Government property is our property, One must love the government property.
In this case Mangalore police should fix a case in such way that the Vandalized person shall be punished not less than 2 years

Police will not act because here Siddha is ruling and he will not tolerate police acting against his own members. It is okay for them to protest and throw stones and create trouble. It is only when BJP or RSS people do, suddenly they become alive

It is like telling a thief that we would be coming at so and so time for checking..... so that he can hide whatever he has stolen... think before you comment.... know the ways how the income tax department works..... there are scrutiny cases where the assessee whose income is being assessed gets a prior notice regarding that.... however there is always the surprise element in raid cases ...... taking the assessee by surprise and catching him red-handed...

Goondagiri of Youth Congress & criminal DK Shivakumara won't work out well here like the ones done by CPM & its outfits in Kerala. Now no Ramanat Rai or Janaardhana Poojary will come out to spew hatred & disturb peace. Goonda Raj by Siddramaiah! Shame!

The advocate had to educate young men about Law matters & he himself is leading the pack of goons & setting fire to tyres. What a contrast with his profession.

Let these goons disclose the amount paid by DK Shivakumara & District Youth Congress for doing this that too on Government property, which is built on poor Tax Payer's money. Shame!

Income Tax Department has a right to raid any person if he has committed an economic offence. IT officers are right in coonducting the raid. These are paid hooligans who think they can achieve anything by money and muscle power. This is a criminal offence by a frenzied mob and I am sure they have been paid to do this. They needs to arrested and punished. No one is above the law of the land. Even a minister is not above the rule of the land. If he has committed an economic offence they need to be punished. If we catch all tax evaders India will be a wonderful nation. I am sure under the leadership of Modi all economic offenders will be brought to justice. Most of our development programmes dont work due to lack of money by tax offenders. The new GST rule to a large extend will increase goverment revenue and I only wish all tax evaders are caught under the new Modi goverment. Modi is trying his best to catch tax offenders by demonitisation GST and linking Adhar with PAN, India will develop only if ta reforms happen. MLA Ministers and MPs must remain corruption free , There must be clean publis leaders. I feel what these hooligans are doing is a bad thing and no one will ever support these acts of violence against tax department building. We need to rethink and elect only good leaders who are worth leading the nation with clean heart. There is no place for corrupt or dishonest in public life. There must be transparency in public life.
