Bengaluru: Disturbance during Sharath Madiwala's funeral- leaders seek quashing of FIRs

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 3: Five leaders of Hindu organizations, who have been booked by the police by registering FIRs against them relating to disturbances during the funeral procession of slain Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist, Sharath Madiwala, have sought these FIRs to be quashed.

These petitions came up for consideration before a single judge bench of the HC presided over by Justice Aravind Kumar, on Wednesday August 2. Satyajit Suratkal, Harish Punja, Muralikrishna Hasantadka, Sharan Pumpwell, and Pradeep Kumar, have sought the FIRs filed against them under various sections of Indian Penal Code, to be dismissed.

The bench asked the police to file their objections for this application. It said that it will consider issuance of interim order as sought by the petitioners once these objections are filed, before adjourning hearing.

Advocate for the petitioners argued that the accused had no connection with the stone pelting incident during the said procession and said that it was wrong on the part of the police to have booked them under provisions relating to whipping up of communal passions. He accordingly sought the FIR to be quashed.

What kind of people ??? Huhhh.... Throwing stones during some sensitive conditions and sad/emotional ritual !

10-15 years ago, when such anti-social outfits had no strong base, Hindu religion was not feeling any risk & all of a sudden our religion feeling insecure!
Parents should stop their children following such anti-socials. These anti-socials will spoil life of innocent youths in the name of religion and gather voters for their leaders.

The court mustn't squash these cases just because a few anti-social elements claim to be 'Dharm Rakshaks'. If they have done something wrong then they must be punished.

Dear DK Police, What ever is the pressure, do not spare rowdies! Please do not spare just because he is self appointed hindu leader or extortionists! All rowdies affiliated to any political party, dal sene or KFD....shunt them out and nullify them! Do not let their ugly head surface. Then see if peace does not prevail in Mangalore! All the unrest is created by the groups affiliated to God.....
Why do we need anti-socials operating in the name of religion, God or any political party at the stake of disturbed society! Adopt military rule to crush all type of these activists!

Just because the so called leaders ( rather rowdies) are Hindus they should get reprieve/FIR quashed???

Why??? Aren't we sending wrong signals to other communities?
What does it mean, that we can do whatever we want ? create any arajakatva and disrupt things in society and want our men protected from law? What kind of Dharma is this?
What a shame these are so called pseudo leaders spoiling very essence of Hindutva and creating falsehood in society and we have good brands called RSS, VHP, Rama Sene, etc..what for?

bringing bad name to us Hindus, look at death at Alvas's college and my party BJP is supporting Alva??? Where are we heading??

Karnataka has now become the most controversial state in the country! No doubt all leaders r very busy confronting, defending, protesting on foolish issues, instead of religiously n ethically doing their jobs for the welfare of the society???
