Bangalore, May 8: Indian doctor Sabeel Ahmed, who was deported to India after serving 18 months in jail in the UK for withholding information about his brother Kafeel Ahmed's plot to blow up Glasgow airport, arrived in Bangalore early on Thursday morning.

Sabeel Ahmed, who arrived by a British Airways flight at 03.43 am, was escorted by two Metropolitan police officers from London.

However, he gave the slip to mediapersons who had been waiting for him since Wednesday night, as he was whisked away by security officials through the rear gate of the airport.

The media, which had also stationed itself before Sabeel's residence in Banashankari, an upper middle class residential locality in the city, was told by Sabeel's mother, Dr Zakia Ahmed, that the doctor was very reluctant to speak to them.

"I will try my best to convince him to speak to the media. It may take a couple of days," she told one of the reporters over phone.

A London court was told last month that Sabeel received an e-mail from his brother and details of his will before the attack.

The court held that he will be released from custody and deported to India because of the time he has already served while on trial.

Originally from Bangalore, Sabeel was arrested in Liverpool on June 30 2007.

no body knows the real fact. one cant comment on the basis of present day media report. it is going 100% against islam and muslims. it is more surprising that even some foolish muslims belive the world media report and atack or coment on verses of the holy quran without having any basic knowledge of quran. let us wait and hope that the media will be forced to bring the fact if not today ...tomorrow.

What goes around, comes around. I hope the teachers of violence will understand this, and stop teaching hate, instead teach love, forgive those who wrong to you. An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind

I have no idea what could be the future of this young Dorctor but his one mistake, which I am sure must have happened because of wrong preaching by some preachers which corrupted his mind. Because of this one mistake his image has been lost for ever. He must have put in so much of hard work and spent a lot of money to become a doctor and today he himself do not know where he stands. Therefore, please do not fall prey to the wrong preachings and teachings which could ruin your own life for ever and you have to live in hiding. There is an old saying 'To make, it takes long time and to break, it takes no time.

Yes,It is true that worldwide Muslims are targetted as terrorists. It is a new trend that especially educated Muslims are pointed. Its just enough for the police to find urdu magazines and beard on the face of the suspected to brand him as most wanted terrorist. But all of the accused were innocent, you know this in case of Dr.Haneef & Dr.Sabeel. Muslims are the integral part of Indian Soceity and their contribution to India should taken into account. Dont simply target them but look into matter seriously. The person who bombed to Legislature house is not terrorist but he is the role model for the great patriotic party BJP. How is the politics.
