Mumbai, Aug 28 (IANS): Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Anupam Kher called ace Indian shuttler P.V. Sindhu a "winner" for making India proud at the World Badminton Championships in Glasgow.

Sindhu won the silver medal, losing to Japanese seventh seed Nozomi Okuhara in the women's singles final on Sunday. Fourth seed Sindhu lost 19-21, 22-20, 20-22 against the Olympic 2016 bronze medallist Okuhara.
