Mangaluru, Aug 29: Five persons have been arrested by a special police team for plotting the murder of two youths.

The arrested are Tasleem (24) of Madani Nagar, Naushad (32) of Amblamogaru, Rameez (20), Khurshid (20) and Nawaz (24).

On July 18, the accused had allegedly attacked a person named Gangadhar at Kuthar, with a soda bottle and tried to kill him. Fortunately, Gangadhar was able to escape from his assailants.

It is learnt that the accused had plotted to murder two youths of the other community as revenge for the murder of Pilar resident Safwan in April this year. They had zeroed-in on two persons of Kuthar and Amblamogaru as their targets. But timely action by the police thwarted their plans.

The police were investigating the July 8 attack on Chiranjeevi and Rammohan near Ranipura, when they stumbled upon the plot sketched by the accused.

The arrest operation was conducted with the help of Ullal police.

The accused are in the custody of Ullal police for further investigation.

Ummar, Just by your saying our Country will not become a Banana Republic, Even a person as powerful as RamRahim had to face the conviction in court , same thing happened to Shashikala , Courts are held in very high esteem in this country and have delivered justice impartially though there would be delay justice is not denied. Don't even compare our nation with a country like Saudi which still lives in 7th century . There is no freedom of religion in that country. No democracy, no elections,. No free speech, Atheists are persecuted, People are forced to follow one religion and its practices, it's absolute hell.
