Sadhvi insisted on reinforcing power with devotion, arms with scriptures

Udupi, Aug 31: "We should make it a point to impart to the children the knowledge about sacrifice of patriots and their martyrdom. There is a need to support devotion towards religion with power and arms with scriptures of knowledge," felt member of Vishva Hindu Parishad's national advisory committee, Sadhvi Saraswati.

Delivering benedictory address after inaugurating 'Matru Sangama' programme organized as part of golden jubilee celebrations of Ganeshotsava at Parkala on Wednesday August 30, she said that China, which does not celebrate Deepavali, has been selling its products meant for Deepavali to India and making a huge profit. She called the citizens of India to imbibe sense of love for motherland and boycott Chinese products.

"Lord Ganapati is a god who has right over being worshipped first. He also is the one who stimulates good sense and intelligence in us. Likewise, our god Hanuman is a superman. We like to teach 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' to our children. Although I am not against any particular language, we should keep in mind that regional cultures will get destroyed if we allow regional languages to perish," she warned.

The Sadhvi also called upon people to pledge themselves to the protection of cows, adding that Vishva Hindu Parishad will be launching 'Gau Ambulance' scheme all over India for cows suffering in accidents or facing other problems. She reminded the people of their duty to look after their parents well and care for cows. She also urged the people to realize that 'Love Jihad' is backed by a conspiracy to regulate Hindu population. "Powers which sowed the seeds of 'Arya-Dravida' discussions towards dividing Hindus are the ones who are supporting Love Jihad in a different way," she cautioned.

Commissioner of Scouts and Guides, Shanta Acharya, presided over the programme. President of Rotary Parkala, Susheela R Poonja, secretary, Sarala S Shetty, former Lioness convener, Nirupama Prasad Shetty, office bearers of women's organizations like Sarojini Shettigar, Devaki Kotian, Jayashree Nayak, and others participated as guests.
