Nalin Kumar slams govt over delay in permission to BJP's 'Mangaluru Chalo' rally

Mangaluru, Sep 3: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel of BJP on Sunday September 3 hit out at the Siddaramaiah-led Congress state government over delay on the part of the police in granting permission to the mega 'Mangaluru Chalo' rally by BJP Yuva Morcha scheduled to be held on September 7.

BJP and its supporters from various parts of the state are expected to arrive in thousands of bikes for the rally, which is being held to demand ban on PFI and KFD outfits in the wake of attacks and murders of youths belonging to the majority community.

Addressing a press meet here, Nalin Kateel said, "Siddaramaiah is trying to impose emergency through the backdoor. He is behaving like Hitler. He does not want to raise voice against his government and party even when they do wrong. He is using the police and the administrative machinery against the opposition parties.

"We sought permission for 'Mangaluru Chalo rally a week ago. But the police and the authorities have not yet granted us the permission. Moreover, the police are threatening hall owners who have come forward to provide accommodation to the participants of the rally who will arrive from other districts.

"But whatever be the case, we will go ahead with our programme without any changes. In a democratic nation, the government has the responsibility of provideing complete security to rallies and the participants," he said, demanding adequate security arrangements to ensure that the rally goes on without a hitch.

"After the police threat, if hall owners deny accommodation to the participants, we will make alternative arrangements. Around 4,000 families have come forward to accommodate the outsiders and we are working on it," he said.

"Our demand is that the government should ban PFI, SDPI and KFD. The members of these organizations are working with anti-Hindu agenda. Many of our members have been murdered by them. The police and the NIA have clear clues that these organizations are involved in terror activities. But Siddaramaiah is protecting them. We can say that the state government is protecting terrorists and exploiting the common man and the Hindu community," he alleged.

"Actually, Siddaramaiah does not want peace to prevail in society. For instance, he started Tipu Jayanti. Celebration of birthday is prohibited in Islam. But just to create tension, he ordered celebration of Tipu Jayanti. His plan was to split the Muslim community. Now he has started to split the Hindu community as well, by stirring Lingayat and Veerashaiva controversy. He is following the 'divide and rule' formula of the British.

"If the government fails to provide protection to our Mangaluru Chalo rally, we will see how Congress minister Ramanath Rai conducts unity march with government protection on September 12," he warned.

BJP district president Sanjeev Matandoor, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, former minister Krishna J Palemar, former MLC Monappa Bhandary and others were present.

Has Nalin Kumar MP ever proposed a project for Mangalore? Has he helped to bring in new business and Industry? How many jobs has he created for us?
Why do we still go to Middle East and do menial labor? Go to Arab countries and live/work under much worse conditions than at home? Gget abused and pretend to be happy when we come back by showing
    of the BIG money?
Nalin it's time that you did something VERY CONSTRUCTIVE for us - create Jobs, good will, prosperity and above all MUCH NEEDED UNITY AND HARMONEY amongst people regardless of their religion, caste sub-caste, creed and help overcome prejudice. Make us safe in our homes and

By hook or by crook the BJP wants to wrest control of Karnataka and divide it into pieces. The common people are not at all interested in all this drama. We only want to live in peace and not in pieces. This rally is just a waste of money and time. These fellows can use money and time for some useful purposes so that people of all castes and communities can benefit. I have a suggestion. There is a movement doing the rounds on whatsapp. It educates the people and warns them about the necessity of preserving rivers. Rivers are depleting and if the present trend continues, people will get only half of the water that is available now, about ten years from now. It is imperative, therefore, that everybody joins hands in preserving rivers. One of the ways is to grow trees on the banks of all the rivers. Why can't these people who are out to disrupt peace in our city think about this? This will be a noble act that will help the future generations. Most of these people who want this rally are youngsters who are being misguided by the politicians. These gullible fellows should not be allowed to be misused by the greedy politicians. This rally is not going to help them. It is only going to help the politicians. Do not lose sight of this fact. Live and let the others also live. Do not divide the society on the basis of religion or caste.

I am pity on Mangaloreans who voted low caliber politician who wanted to burn his own elected constituency and participate in Dharna for his slain comrade of sangh parivar for compensation.

This high time Mangaloreans need to think twice before casting ballot in favour of BJP whom they elected ever since 1992 for 25 years.

The city of Mangalore once hub for best education and medical practices and industries now became Nagpur of the South India.

Is city lacks smart people or their intelligence is questionable?

Let's Mangalore enjoy another Lanka 'Dahana' from BJP.

Better to ban RSS and its affliates such as BD, VHP etc for having created communal riots and mass murder of people since decades.... These organizations are not only Anti Muslims, but Anti Christians, Anti Dalits and also Anti Constitution of India.

Once these venomous organizations get banned then we can expect rest all organizations will come to end and a peaceful communal free India.
