Bengaluru: 'Mangaluru Chalo' row - police request Yeddurappa to remain inside home

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Sep 5: Condemning the incidents of killing of youngsters connected with Hindu organizations, BJP Yuva Morcha has launched 'Mangaluru Chalo' motor bike rally for which permission has been denied. As the BJP activists are hell bent on going ahead with the bike rally as planned earlier, the police are facing a huge challenge of maintaining law and order situation.

In this backdrop, it is said that the police have approached BJP state president, Yeddyurappa, with a request not to venture out of his home for the present.

Yeddyurappa is currently in his residence at Dollars Colony here. He was to flag off the bike rally of BJP activists at Freedom Park at 10.30 am on Tuesday. It is said that the police are worried about the prospects of overcrowding if Yeddyurappa takes part in the programme. Therefore, it is said, he has been requested to stay put in his house.

India’s petrol and diesel prices are among southeast Asia’s costliest.Taxes currently constitute 45%-52% of the retail price of auto fuels in India, far higher than what would it be if petrol and diesel was brought under the Goods and Services Tax regime.

State-owned oil marketing companies have hiked retail prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 6.17 and Rs 3.69 a litre respectively since July 1, 2017, as part of their new mechanism of daily price revisions.

Petrol and diesel were selling at Rs 69.26 and Rs 57.13 a litre last Friday, prices much higher than what prevailed on the same day in southeast asian nations such as Malaysia and Indonesia and neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan.
On the same day, petrol and diesel were available in Indonesia at prices that were 41% and 24% lower compared to India.
For example, on the same day petrol was available at Rs 42.14 a litre at fuel retail outlets in Pakistan, a price that is nearly 40% lower compared to India. Similarly, diesel was cheaper by 17% there.
Petrol and diesel were selling at Rs 53.47 and Rs 39.69 a litre in Sri Lanka, nearly 23% and 30% lower compared to India.
In Nepal, retail prices of petrol and diesel were 12% and 19% lower than prevailing rates of auto fuels in India on the same day. In Bhutan, the selling price of petrol was nearly 10% lower compared to India, though difference in diesel price was less pronounced at 1%.
While the retail price of petrol in Bangladesh was nearly at the same level as in India on that day, diesel price was 10% lower.
The party had provided about 300 TVS Sport bikes for vistaraks in Uttar Pradesh and they are now being distributed to vistaraks in Karnataka and Telangana.
NDA government has taken away benefits of low oil prices from consumers, but can afford the bike rally on citizens tax.
PM Modi wanted voluntarily give up gas subsidies. Party has indispensable funds for Petrol for bike rallies but not for oxygen in hospitals.

This is called "yedda banke pedha khanne ka" - citizens have to be smarter to understand what is good and what is bad. We cannot be divided on party lines or religion...it has to be a thought for what is right to our country. As they say look at the big picture which we are completely missing!!

All schools are accepting Anna Bhagya from the state government. What is special about Kalladka school? wearing or force to wear a chaddi even thoough you are 6 feet tall? .
Instead of wasting petrol on the bike rally, use that money for the food at Kalladka school and stop begging in the name of Kalladka school children.

The cost of this rally (only petrol charges) may go above 3 crores!

We humbly request to all the expected participant to use this fund to help flooded affected area, poor who cannot afford to have daily food, send some money to UP to buy Oxygen for children, construct homes to homeless people, help farmers, help widows and any other useful things. Such rally will not fetch votes but only disturb peace and harmony.

How will it look when outsiders come to Mangalore and disturb peace?

They may hire anyone labeled with Mohammed, Ahmed, Sheikh, Abdul, khan, Pattan to assassinate you, so they can gain the sympathy Vote. They want to hit 2 birds in one Shoot.
