New Delhi, Sep 11: Dera Saccha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who has been lodged in the Rothak jail, complained of ill health on Saturday. He told he is feeling restless and uneasy to a team of doctors, including a psychiatrist, who were rushed to the jail to conduct a heath-check-up.

According to a doctor who is part of the team, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is a sex addict and may be suffering from satyriasis – an excessive and uncontrollable desire for sex. “He has no access to physical pleasures in the jail which is the cause for his restlessness. He can be treated. However, if the treatment is delayed, it can lead to a bigger problem," said the doctor.

Singh has been languishing in jail after being convicted of raping two female followers in a 15-year-old case on August 28.

According to sources, the Dera chief has told doctors that the health issues are in fact withdrawal symptoms. However, it is not clear if Singh is addicted to drugs.

According to Gurdas Singh Toor, a former Dera member, Ram Rahim Singh consumed energy drinks and sex tonics that were specially imported from Australia and other countries.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s request to the jail authorities to allow Honeypreet, his adopted daughter and closest aide, to stay with him in the jail has now given rise to doubts that he wanted her close to him to satiate his physical needs.

It is interesting to note that Singh did not ask the presence of a male attendant, his biological daughters, or even his wife. The Dera chief had told the jail authorities that Honeypreet was his physiotherapist and she has to stay with him as his attendant. However, Honeypreet has been hiding after sedition charges were slapped against her.

Ram Rahim Singh had also told the CBI court he is impotent to prove himself innocent. In 1990 when he became the Dera chief, he publically renounced his family. However, when people demanded his potency test, he said that he maintains physical relations only with his wife.

“Why nobody has got his potency test done so far is another loophole," Gurdas Singh Toor, who appeared as a witness for the CBI told the media.

Asking women to fast for his long life

A video of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is also doing rounds, where he asks women and even young children to fast for his long life. Gurmeet is seen advising a gathering that fasting for an ordinary man (husband) will not earn anything and they should fast for their God (him) who is the husband of the whole universe.

"All this was done by Gurmeet Ram Rahim to put in the minds of minor girls that he was their husband and owned their mind and bodies,” lashes Gurdas Singh Toor.

The videos show minor girls wearing make-up of a married woman. Some can also be seen holding a banner calling Gurmeet Ram Rahim as the husband (Suhag) of the universe.
