In a district presently going through a lot of ill-feeling among various communities, the present incident is indeed most unfortunate.

Hope that members of all communities take care not to pass loose comments on other religions.
Let this be an eye-opener to all, not to play with the feelings/sentiments of our fellow-citizens belonging to other communities. Hope the accused person's apology is accepted, and he is let off by the authorities with a proper warning, not to indulge in such dangerous/undesirable behaviour, which could divide communities and create an atmosphere of unpleasantness/resentment.

I was reading comments our readers and totally agree nobody should talk negative or bad about any religion. What was surprising is that Gauri Lankesh was talking openly against Hinduism and nobody spoke anything. This is what is confusing me. How come when she spoke so much against Hinduism etc still people say she is a great lady, bold etc. Why is this double standards?? If she had control over her tongue then the situation would have been different. I always believe that we need to respect other Religions and by doing this we can have better understanding.

If anyone praises my faith it does not become strong and if one abuses it, it does not become weak. The best thing would have been to ignore him. There are hundreds of such jokers around trying to play mischief. However, since this guy has suddenly seen the light of the day and apologised, let him go. He does not deserve any further attention. Just think of him as Daari Tappida Maga.

If one has doubts on or wants to study another religion, the healthy way is to ask questions on various forums which experts/religious scholars will answer. If you are not satisfied with the answers, that does not mean you begin abusing it and posting derogatory remarks. Nobody is asking you or forcing you to convert or follow that faith. Any particular faith or religion is sacred to its followers and you have no business to interfere in their personal choices. If someone commits a crime under the guise of religion, then there is the law to take care of it.

I don't know what Ill he has written about Jesus Christ, but at prima-facie, I don't thing he was trying create any religious conflict. Since he has apologized, we should let him go free. We have to see what was his intention. There were worst things happened to Christians in Mangalore during the Church attack --desecrating Church, braking crucifix, throwing holy sacrament and conducting atrocities against helpless Catholics which really hurt many faithfuls physically and mentally. Did anyone hold responsible for this kind of sacrilege? Well, let us say we have forgiven them or we don't have guts to pursue it vigorously. Honestly, how many of us really hurt by the FB posting of this poor fellow? He is an easy target, right? I strongly urge that we Catholics should forgive him and help him to lead a decent family life.

Another thing bugs me that in the picture No.5 and 6, a police officer is sitting while dozens of public are approaching him. I don't care what is his position -- that is immaterial. This is not manners. If this kind of behavior is from the British police manual, it is the time to change it. Public should be respected and greeted not by sitting on cozy butt, but standing and respecting them or at least offering them the seat. They are not criminals. I see it as arrogant behavior. His position prevails as long as the public pay taxes to pay for their servants. Sorry, employees.

Jesus is believed to be a prophet who neither married nor had any children and is reflected as a significant figure, being found in the Quran in 93 ayaat (Arabic for verses) with various titles attached such as "Son of Mary" and other relational terms, mentioned directly and indirectly, over 187 times.

Unfortunately Akshar Boliyamajal who wasn't read Islamic holy book Quran in his true context with meanings not only insulted the Prophet of Islam also people of the heavenly book.

He has not only angered Allah the almighty God also the Christian community.
It is better for him to make repentance for his mistake and also written apology to the Christian community.
I would also request him to understand the holy book of Quran well so that he never repeat it.

    Dear Readers,

In todays date, We find a lot of derogatory statements from almost everyone towards the other. However, they do forget that what they are doing is just against the reason they are born. Why is it so difficult for people to understand the basic concept of a happy life "live and let live in peace" ? Why is it that people are so much greedy for power, wealth etc ? We have seen in real life how people leave this world empty handed ?
Alexander the great called his generals and said, “I will depart from this world soon, I have three wishes, please carry them out without fail.”
    1. “I would like the world to know of the three lessons I have just learnt. I want my physicians to carry my coffin because people should realize that no doctor can really cure any body. They are powerless and cannot save a person from the clutches of death. So let not people take life for granted.

    2. The second wish of strewing gold, silver and other riches on the way to the graveyard is to tell People that not even a fraction of gold will come with me. I spent all my life earning riches but cannot take anything with me. Let people realize that it is a sheer waste of time to chase wealth.

    3. And about my third wish of having my hands dangling out of the coffin, I wish people to know that I came empty handed into this world and empty handed I go out of this world.”

Alexander’s last words: “Bury my body, do not build any monument, keep my hands outside so that the world knows the person who won the world had nothing in his hands when dying“.

In politics we see everyone fighting each other, humiliating other leaders, harming the sentiments of other religions etc just for getting themselves highlighted. But they do forget that one day they die and everything they did will just be left behind and no one will care to even respect them but be happy that finally he is gone. Thank GOD ? is this what they need ?

Dear Readers, I am a Catholic person. Initially when I read the negative comments about Jesus and mother Teresa by Mr Bolyamajal I too aggressive. Wanted to teach him a strong lesson , this morning when same person apologised I was totally shocked. Today the matter climbed to police station it's really sad and hurting. I personally feel Jesus never complained about anyone. He went on forgiving. Those few who were in police station I feel pity on them , neither they go to church or for mass or practise what Jesus has taught . When a person admits his mistake , asks forgiveness through same media where he commented negatively , we must have a large heart to forgive such people. Kindly do a counselling with Mr Bolyamajal first. Understand his mental health condition. Why he wrote like that ? Do not beat and torture him. When Jesus has forgiven, who are we to take revenge on him.

Now that you have wrote what you have heard I TELL YOU IF YOU READ THE GOSPEL (Book of Jesus) you will do better.
You will learn to condemn and rebuke demons and they will fall to your feet.

All should refrain from insulting other's faiths, Must remember that insulting others faiths always boomerang on self.

Indians have become so communal they have forgotten about free speech... if you dislike what someone has to say, you fight the speech with more speech. Sending those who don't like Jesus/Rama/Mohammad/Buddha/Gandhi to jail is unacceptable.

I strongly condemn such derogatory comments against any group or faith. The Police Department and Judiciary should set a precedent by arresting Akshar Boliyamajal under some stringent act or Goonda Act.

The wings of such fascists must be clipped immediately.

Akshar Boliyamajal, our God can defend Himself. These words are nothing for Him, When he came to this world people even spat on his face and he had forgiven them.

He came to this world for sinners like you and me. Everyone trembles and make mistakes in this worldly life, if you feel you should not have used those words then just ask for forgiveness and move on. God will forgive you and Bless abundantly.

Fighting for rights and self dignity is not wrong. But involving politicians is a big question mark.

Election is approaching very fast and all these type of issues and many new issues will creep up, before election. Citizens should be watchful.

I think politicians should be allowed to involve in these religious matters.
Father of church and parish, Bishop and team should lead. These politicians only look for thier benefit , now 2018 elections are near . All politicians are active.!!

Akshar Boliyamajal, by now you must be shivering under pants! Your comments are uncalled for! You must be scared to open your face book page for some years now! Hypocrite, you will learn your lesson in jail and running around police station and court! That's the best punishment for you for derogatory comments on Mother Theresa and Jesus Christ while most religion people look upon them with respect! Few people like you are the root cause for communal hatred and unrest! Most people from your own religion are unhappy about your posting and you have support of hardly anyone!
